About Hotel Gran Caribe Saint John's
Grand Caribe
City Centre Hotels
Located at the foot of La Rampa, Havana’s entertainment hub Hotel Saint John’s is also a prominent feature in the bustling part of the city. It guarantees guests the familiar warmth of personalized and attentive care. This is the hotel of choice in the Cuban capital.

The top part of the hotel features the Pico Blanco, a bar known as the "Rincon del feeling", where renowned singers and musicians keep Cuban romantic songs of the 1940s alive. Also located on the roof is a small and intimate swimming pool. The Saint John’s is a heaven of tranquillity in the very heart of downtown.

Notice: the swimming pool of Hotel Gran Caribe St John's will be closed from August 2015 until April 2016.

Centrally located on a side street just 10 meters from 24 St. The "Rampa", Havana's & Vedado main entertainment street. Low cost & relative comfort in a narrow high rise. Do not expect a great service however the breakfast is nourishing but modest. Be aware that the omelet lady has a tips racket going on, if you give or not you get the same mediocre omelet. However, tip the reception staff, and ask to get a better room or even a suite. Preferred rooms are the 01 rooms facing the sea on the 10 & upwards floors, which get a lovely sea breathe.

Guide to Vedado
Vedado's heart is along and around La Rampa. This is where Avenida 23 meets the coastal road, the Malecon, and you will find the rather impressive Hotel Nacional de Cuba.

Infront of the Hotel Nacional is La Piragua, "The Dugout", where each Saturday afternoon various car and motorcycle club piston heads show-off their gleaming chrome classics.

On La Rampa itself you will find the Cubana (airline) main office, many shops, markets, hotels, restaurants and nightclubs.

Directly east on Calle San Miguel between calles Ronda and Mazon is the fine Museo Napoleonico, this mansion is house of a remarkable collection of Napoleonic memorabilia.

Other notable sights are the Copelia, Hotel Habana Libre

Vedado's top sight is perhaps the Cementerio de Cristobal Colon.
